He graduated from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata in 1975 with a first<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> class. Since 1980 he has participated in many group shows till date and did his first solo exhibition in 2011.\u00a0<\/span>He has received multiple awards from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata (1972, 1973 and 1974) and Academy of Fine Arts (1984).
